Re: Rude Announcement at Michaels
by PsychoSekc - Posted Sat November 22, 2008 @ 9:42 AM

It's 8:50pm, they make an announcement that the store was closing at 9pm, they make an announcement for the employees to do a floor check and I'm failing to see how you were wronged and what was so rude about it. I work in a retail pharmacy and have witnessed MANY customers ignore the announcement and will keep on taking their sweet time shopping. There are MANY times I'm walking out of the store at 10:15pm(store closes at 10pm) and customers are still being rung out because they decided to lollygag.

With that said, I can see why they make that announcement because depending on how many customers are still in the store, it can take more than 10 minutes to ring them out especially if there's a problem with their purchase. I don't blame them for wanting to check out everyone as quickly as possible so that they can close on time. I don't know about you but I work to live.. I don't live to work and I'm sure they feel the same way.
