Why are floor checks ridiculous?
by Dunno - Posted Sat November 22, 2008 @ 11:32 AM

As to what the announcement contains, I don't think it matters. Asking for a floor check is pretty standard, it is worded differently at different stores. At Home Depot they say "and assist any customers making their last selections," or something like that. I think you are taking the wording too personally.

I think you are thinking that if someone saw you they would make you leave. In my experience, when an employee approaches me in this situation, I simply say "I know what I need, I'll be out in a minute." The employee moves on.
