This was an unfortunate incident and not acceptable.

On the rare occasions when I get a prescription that I will need to begin taking immediately upon leaving the health care provider's office, I ask the physician if they have a day's worth of samples that I can have to tide me over until the prescription is filled. If your doctor has what you need they will give it to you, you just have to ask!
