Re: Grand Theatres, We Didn't Get to See The End of Our Movie!
by RedheadWGlasses - Posted Sun May 28, 2006 @ 9:15 AM
Many moons ago, my then-spouse and I went to see Toy Story at the theatre. We were directed to a certain viewing room number. A cartoon was playing when we got to our seats, so we waited. And waited. Turns out, the usher screwed up and sent us to the room in which the movie was half over, instead of to the appropriate room where the movie had yet to start.
I complained to that user, but he shrugged "whatever dude" and went about this ticket-tearing joy. I found the manager and got our money back (we were from another state, so getting a voucher wouldn't work).
Just sharing.
Also, another poster here recommended you call a manager during the day. I've tried calling a theatre manager during the day (to complain about a very young couple bringing their ONE YEAR OLD BABY -- and holding it up so it could actually see the movie -- to see the violent, profanity-laden film "Ransom") (nevermind that most movies' volumes are too loud for babies' sensitive ears) and the theatre's phone message gave no way to talk to a person. It merely gave movie times, directions, etc. Pressing "0" did nothing but start the recording over.
Grrr. Now you have me all riled up at 8:15 on a Sunday morning.
