Re: Attitude of Victoria Secret Associate with High School Degree
by Irving Patrick Freleigh - Posted Mon February 16, 2009 @ 8:38 PM

"I TOOK MY 14 YR OLD NIECE INTO THE STORE TO GET HER SOME GIFTS AND NOT ONLY DID IT TAKE FOREVER TO FIND AN ASSOCIATE SHE THEN ASKED IF WE WANTED A DRESSING ROOM, WE HAD A LOT OF ITEMS TO TRY ON, WE ANSWERED YES WE WOULD AND ATTEMPTED TO HAND OUR CHOICES OVER TO HER TO PLACE IN A DRESSING ROOM AS WE WERE NOT FINISHED LOOKING AROUND"

Maybe this is just because I work in retail, but I find this doubly rude.

1. Assuming the associate would carry your clothes to the dressing room. Most stores like VS will not do this for customers. If you want somebody to schlep your clothes around for you, shop at Nordstrom or some similar high-end store.

2. I took this to mean you wanted the fitting room held for you until you had chosen all the items you wanted to try on. Again, most stores are not going to do this for their customers.

Lastly, I don't see how your 2 degrees and your business are relevant to this complaint.
