After thinking about this issue, I'm on your side. Sixty dollars for a pair of boots isn't top of the line, but it's also not super cheap either (at least by my standards). I've never associated FoH with high-quality merchandise, but still, I think the boots should've lasted more than 10 wears. I mean, I have $25 boots that have lasted through five Wisconsin winters. (I should get rid of them though. Square toes are out.)

Usually I'm a great defender of store policy, but in the case of defective or poor-quality merchandise I waver. I don't expect things to last forever, but they should at least last a reasonable amount of time.
