We adopted a cat. She's two years old and half siamese/half torti, very unique looking! She has siamese eyes and a black vertical stripe on one side of her face and a brown one on the other side. We decided to give an older cat a chance at having a "forever" home.

She's a little skittish but getting better. She spent the first two days with us under the futon in the guest room. She now spends most of her days with us in the living room but still doesn't like to be picked up and won't sit on my lap, she'll walk on it but won't lie down. She loves to be petted and brushed and will now take treats out of my hand. We're being very patient with her and it seems to be paying off.

Her name is Sorcha which means little bright one in Gaelic. The shelter had named her Mocha and I really didn't like that name but I wanted a name that sounded pretty close. She does answer to her new name now.
