Is the knees splay outwards in order to not have the seat in front become a part of the anatomy. I am 6'5", and I have had many uncomfortable flights in coach. I guess I should be charged for that.

I think UA and every airline should go out of business if they can't take whatever size person is thrown at them. That will solve one problem.
