Re: Public Employee Conduct

I've found the same thing with Sprint.
There are some people that have "Sprint Rep" in their profile and say things that sure make it appear that they are being truthful or, at least, have sufficient knowledge to pass as an employee. Sometimes, they aren't an actual employee, but they work at a store that sells Sprint phones and plans. Which means that they do have knowledge of things like Sprint systems, upcoming announcements, etc.
There are entire blogs and forums run by people who clearly state that they work for Sprint (or Verizon or whatever). There is usually a disclaimer that says "I'm off duty, so the opinions expressed are mine."
Indeed, recently, I had a situation where I needed to report someone. I contacted Sprint and pointed them to a thread where a Sprint employee was acting in an inappropriate manner. I received a response back that they take these things seriously. A day later, the inappropriate posts were edited to removed the inappropriate content. Because this was on a non-Sprint owned site, I can only assume that they knew who the employee was and asked the employee to edit their post.
