Forget the target card. Get yourself a 0% interest card. Some of them are good for a year. You can even pay off other balances with it but just get one that has no fee for balance transfers. Those Dept store credit cards are a rip off. Try citibank online and look around. I believe some may even be posted on debtsmart.com (I think thats the link). If your visa has high interest phone them and tell them to lower your interest rate. If they don't then go elsewhere. If you mention you might go elsewhere they might lower it right on the spot. If they don't, no problem. Many other fish in the sea so to speak for credit cards. Their loss.
