i don't find the cashier's response funny...

what i find funny is that if there was a sign or something that let you know that wendy's offered FREE REFILLS...

which obviously they did...

then they offered FREE REFILLS...

it wouldn't matter what size cup you got, so why would you keep asking repeatedly what size cup you had to buy to get free refills?

no wonder the cashier was confused.

i went to NY&CO to buy a pair of pants one time. the sign said "buy a pair of pants, get a shirt free"

i didn't ask, "what size shirt do i have to buy for it to be free?"

if you buy a drink, the refills are free.

if you buy a pair of pants, the shirt is free.

i'm educated, and i'd be confused if someone kept asking me what size they had to buy to get more value. um, duh, the biggest size.

i think it was more an issue of asking a weird question than the cashier being ridiculous.
