I would say that 70% of the people that LP catches shoplifting had stuffed things into their other shopping bags.

The others either try to wear the stuff up, put it in their purses, strollers, etc.

I only really keep an eye on them if they go into the fitting room, where the majority of the shoplifting occurs.

When we had a "real" mall, it was easy for shoplifting rings to go from store to store, slipping one or two things in their big Sears or JCP bag, then move on. We once caught someone who had probably hit up five or six stores; they had put it all into their oversized JCP bag.

Seriously, it's way easier to shoplift if you have a big bag just to slip something into then it is coming in and shoving things in your purse. It happens a lot.
