Are you sure this is a legit story? Are you sure Joel J is really black?

Seems to me to be a ruse to grab attention to further the stereotype that "black people are greedy."

I've seen lots of posts where people post something controversial, then say "I'm black and I was discriminated against."

Something doesn't add up here - especially the phrase "Send me two free tickets..." Realistically, who is that directed at? Certainly not the alleged airline - Joel J doesn't even identify an airline that he would want to reimburse him.

Use your head, people... and stop giving in the the racist bashing. Some of you have reacted in the exact way that Joel J intended you to. Have you ever heard of a straw man?

If I posted a letter that said:

"I wanted to stow my luggage, but the flight attendant told me I couldn't it was too big, but other people had much bigger luggage. This was on a Japanese airline, and I was the only white person on the flight. I was really upset.

Send me two tickets... etc etc."

Would you have reacted in the same way?
