Playing god
by Kalphoenix - Posted Fri January 29, 2010 @ 12:47 AM

The Supreme Court doesn't FORCE someone to get an abortion. They made it legal to get an abortion and told people they have a choice. That means YOU PERSONALLY have the choice NOT to have an abortion.

There were abortions before it was legal, and if abortion is ever made illegal again, there will STILL be abortions. People STILL have illegal abortions even with the law defined. Underage mothers have illegal "home" abortions or dump babies in dumpsters outside of the prom because, as a country, we have put such a huge stigma on both surprise pregnancies and discussing and acquiring contraceptives and being responsible about sex. Abortion being made illegal will NOT STOP ABORTION. Taking that into consideration, I have no idea how one can decide that giving people the right to make a choice legally makes the supreme court "god."

I don't want to make any personal attacks, so I'll keep this general, but I think some folks out there must think an awful lot of themselves if they think THEY can "play god" and make decisions for other people of whom they are NOT directly involved in the ongoing life and care of.
