Re: You want me to throw my dish away, DirectTv?

I went to their website to see if they inform consumers that you are responsible for the dish removal when you cancel the service.

Even at their big FAQ page, when I searched for "dish removal," "remove dish," and other similar phrases, NOTHING came up that would address that issue and inform me that I am responsible for removing the dish.

And the little bit I did find covered only one thing: If you are taking the service with you to your new home, they will move the dish for you.

I think it's kind of shady that they aren't up front about this. I think they should give consumers the option at service sign-up: Do you want to pay $XXX extra right now so that if you ever cancel our service or move and can't have our service at your new residence, we will come to your home and remove the dish for you?
