I wonder is it has anything to do with the big bolt holes it would probably leave in your roof or siding once they remove the dish.

They probably don't want the liability if a roof leaks or damage caused by removing the satellite dish. There's not good way to plug up asphalt shingles other than replacing them...and how do they find a match?
