You might consider looking in to alternate forms of entertainment. When we had cable + internet, the bill was around $120! $50 of this was internet, which we aren't willing to part with. The rest was cable...it started with a promotional offer, then just a $5 upgrade here and a $10 upgrade there...

In the end, we purchased an XBox 360. We've hooked it up to play music from our computer and pay under $10/month for Netflix which we can access on the XBox. The XBox itself was paid for by three months worth of money we would have paid to the cable company.

It's been totally worth it in my opinion. We go to the library more, spend less time in front of the tv, and I still catch many of my favorite shows online.
