Why would you pay Charter for work that is not complete???
Also, when someone damages your house, you can choose, whoever you want to fix your house!! Not someone that they have to fix installers boo boo's
This happened to me last year when I had a new AC installed.
The installer scratched a recently installed stained gate that I had installed a few weeks prior.
They told me the same thing, we have a "stain guy" that repairs our boo boo's we cause.
I said heck no, I want the company that installed it to repair it.
After a few contracts back and forth between us, I got my fence repaired, and I got paid.
I paid with a check, so I could withold payment til its fixed. You could have refused to pay, and you should have gotten it in writing with Charter.
I have my signed copies for repair, did you get them?
When things like this happen, you have to get it writing. Makes it alot easier to take them to court if need be.
Good Day
