I *know* what the worst foods are for me, I don't need a magazine or government researcher telling me.
This "article" is clearly slanted towards mid-priced restaurant chains, and they threw in a few fast food joints for good measure.
To me, true garbage is stuff like cheese puffs and Ring Dings. But it varies significantly by individual. If someone wants to bulk up on calories and fat once in awhile, I say go for it.
The dish shown in the article is not something I would eat once a week or once a month. But I might have it once or twice a year. That wouldn't kill me. There is the expression "sinfully good" that some of use utter with guiltless delight.
It may be that the same people who can't figure out how to budget their spending can't figure out how to monitor their diets, but do we need to protect every nitwit from him/herself? Survival of the fittest.
