Over the years, I have come across many companies who do that. It is hidden in the fine print that if you do not cancel your free trial account, that it will be automatically renewed, charging you.

Be aware of companies that offer free trials but still require a debit/credit card number.... Those are the ones who will be likely to renew your account if you fail to cancel it before the trial runs out.


AOL used to do this, I have not used AOL in years though so am unaware as to whether or not they still do.
