you posted that, Rowdy, because I have to agree with TN that too many times, your responses do come off appearing rather smug and condescending. As if anyone foolish enough to incur debt, for whatever reason, should be admonished.

Now I get it - and truth be told, I guess it's a little like a badge of honor for you to say those things because it's like "Well, if I can do it, why can't anyone else?"

But you and the Mrs. obviously had some unconventional wisdom growing up, because schools sure don't teach lessons like that and most parents are struggling themselves and don't know how to impart life lessons like you had to their kids.

I think it's awesome that you try to help kids in need too. You already know that will pay off in the future as those kids will hopefully pay it forward as well.

My whole view of you has just completely changed.
