With all the pre "Black Friday" sales they're running, it doesn't surprise me. They want customers shopping earlier so they're playing Christmas carols earlier.

After all, I've already started (finished?) my Christmas shopping for the year. But that's because we decided we didn't need more "things" and are splurging on a trip to Florida instead.
