If the coupon is expired, then it is expired. I don't see why they should just let it go. It would be nice of them to give you a grace period, but under no means are they obligated to.

As much as I hate hand dryers for their lack of instant gratification, I do think they are a better option than paper towel. They are more sanitary, less messy, and they never run out. I hate being in a bathroom with paper towel all over the floor, or one with an empty dispenser. Also, the environmental factor is important too.

As for the quality of the food, I think if it is bad then by all means speak with your wallet and go elsewhere.
