However, don't use their "service." match.com is run by knuckleheads. Get a friend you know well and trust -- male or female, but preferably female, since you're a guy -- and have her help you with your profile. It should be in your own words, but it doesn't hurt to have a friend give her her opinion and perspective on things you've said.

There also is quite a bit of etiquette involved. Many women tend to want to talk (email) for a while (up to a few weeks) before meeting and get all bent out of shape if you want to push the schedule faster.
