I'm sorry your dog was hurt - I am a pet owner myself and have both cats and dogs.

That being said - I do not understand how an injury had enough to cause a possible amputation could go unnoticed for a week. You don't mention the breed of dog but logic would dictate that if it needed to be sewn up that there would have been blood at some point. I don't understand how they could have explained to you how it happened - by your own admission a week had gone by - and you don't seem to have pointed anything out to them while in the salon.

I don't blame petsmart for not taking responsibility.
