I think you should find out who else in your neighborhood has FIOS. I'd be curious if others beyond your neighbor's house have FIOS -- like someone on the other side of your house.

I suppose the service has to have an end boundary somewhere, but it seems weird that it would end between two houses rather than end at the end of a block or street.
