when it comes down to problems like this, American customer service is what is demanded, but when it comes time to pay the bill, nobody wants to pay American labor costs.
The best thing to do if you prefer to have an inexpensive computer like this is NOT to expect the company to service it to the level you expect. Find a local shop to handle the repairs, upgrades, etc. and have them do it. You'll get the service you want without paying too much more for your laptop.
You get cheap or you get good - it's very rare that you get both.
