I won't lay a sermon on you but I will suggest that you set a calendar up to reflect important dates. In the case of due bills leave yourself enough time for mail, funds transfers and the like.

The next thing I would suggest is for you to apply for a Prepaid Card. Through judicious use you might be able to put some shine back on your credit worthiness moving forward.

As for the past. Treat it as water under the bridge, a learning experience and move on.
