If the pressure cooker lid was truly stuck, there's really not much option but to throw it away or let it start stinking.

However, I think in order to fulfill the warranty or get a replacement, the OP should have called the customer service number and troubleshoot the issue with them and see what they offered as a resolution if the lid was truly stuck.
