Even if I thought your letter had some merit (I don't), McDonalds does not have to offer incentives to eat there. Your ideas about buy 10-get one free would be feasible for a new place, or for a place who is trying to compete with McDonalds.

You have many options available to you, should you choose not to wait for the coffee. I agree that it's annoying to have to wait, but I fail to see how this should entitle you to a free value meal.

Additionally, I fail to see how the lady telling you 'she'd see what she could do' to your request for free coffee, is rude.
