Censorship
by Brennie - Posted Sun October 8, 2006 @ 9:01 PM

One of my comments was recently removed because I used the words 'damn' and 'hell'. That is such a petty reason. Anyone who cares to read them can see that none of my other replies contained any profanity whatsoever. I feel as though I was judged based on one comment.

The thing is that my profile is shared. I stand behind what I say and I want anyone who's interested to read the replies that I've posted on any letter. Anyone who has any critism or comments about me can come to my profile and leave a message on my blog. There was no need to take such drastic measures.

I've only been at this site for a few months but I love it. I check it everyday that I can, I post on every letter that strikes my interest. I feel as though I just got a taste of the good things here and then a few mean spirited people went and ruined it. I don't understand why all these people came here, clearly didn't like what they saw, and instead of leaving in search of a forum that was more to their liking, they decided to change all the rules to fit their needs. It's ridiculous.

I hope that my blog is considered neutral ground and I won't be punished for anything I've said. I don't want my commenting privlidges to be revoked but I wonder how much longer it will be before commenting isn't even worth the trouble.
