Re: finger holes in food
by Dino Drakiotes - Posted Wed October 25, 2006 @ 2:15 PM
When I spoke to Samantha and showed her the potatoes she agreed that the 3 holes had been done by someones fingers. She explained to me that the procedure for serving the potatoes is to slit and then mushroom the potatoe. This in her words "Is not acceptable nor the way the staff is trained to serve the food".
As for waiting to contact the Board of Health, I gave the management a chance to address the problem and they choose to blow me off.
In reguards to the combo certificates, the first offer from Samantha was a free meal for a month which I declined and opted for a couple of certificates instead.
Did the person who poked the holes in the potatoe have gloves on???? There is no way to tell and I did not want to take the chance that they did not.
Was / is my reaction extreme? Yes, it is. That is the way I chose to handle the situation.
I have yet to hear from anyone who works at the Keene store and dought if I ever will. I did contact Wendy's corporate headquarters and was told that my complaint would be sent to the owner of the Keene store and that that person would contact me. That also has yet to happen.
All in all I got to vent my anger and have seen that Wendy's overall does not care about keeping a customer coming back. Most likely the corporate mentality is to ignore the problem and that sooner or later it will go away.
