as i drive around town i see misspellings on business signs, aprostrophes and commas running amok and general bad grammar. I am one of those people who cringe when i see this sort of thing. No one seems to know even the basics anymore. When i worked at a large corporate hotel the memos from corporate were often littered with enough carnage of the English language to reduce an English teacher to tears. Bless the persecuted minority who still believe grammar and the ability to read and write effectively are the backbone of civil society.
