hmmmmm...
I think perhaps the holiday has gotten you a bit over-stressed. I read and re-read the letter, and by your own description, I can't figure out why you got sooo upset with the manager. He seemed to have tried to resolve the problem.
Seems (by what YOU describe) that the manager made several comments, that were posed most probably as thinking out loud:
1) That can't be right. Yes, he probably saw that the price and the sign were way off each other, and thought "this can't be right"
2) ya know someone could have moved the sign.. I see no direct guilt going your way. He did not say YOU must have moved the sign. He simply stated that 'someone' moved the sign, which happens alot in stores! Why would you get mad, if you knew it was not you. "The lady doth protest too much."
If you look on the coupon, most likely it said something like "not to be used with any other offer" or something to that affect. That's probably why he didn't honor the coupon.
I don't see anything, by YOUR own description, that the manager did wrong. He gave you the price on the "sign" even though it was mis-priced. I'd be happy with that!
I do believe you need to try to relax and get through the holiday with a bit more cheer :)
Happy Holidays
