We live in a crooked system you know this and to have ignorant people respond to you for Heaven's sake shake your head at them and don't even respond to them! I am grateful for your hubby and if I was working there, you would not have to pay for the meal, hell I would have paid the tip too.. Sorry for the injustices you face.
