The wives of cops and border patrol officers often go to bed not knowing if their husband's will make it through the shift and they don't get any discount at all.

Here in NY, we just convicted some lowlife who shot two cops to death. They never got home to their wives. In the early 90's, one of my staff was engaged to a cop. He was killed responding to a domestic dispute. The bottom line is that all these jobs are dangerous and it's great that IHOP offers any discount at all. In the end, it's up to them to decide how much.
