Re: Sudafed purchase

Here in Texas, you have to swipe your license when you write checks and purchase OTC medicine, and in some places to buy liquor. Its to protect the store from fraud. At Wal-Mart, the register asks the cashier to put in your DOB PLUS have you swipe your license. You may have looked old enough, but the people at the counter have to do their jobs as well. Many women would take it as a compliment that they have to show their license to prove they're old enough to buy something. I'm 25, but I certainly do not look it.

My suggestion is to buy a wallet that suits this need, because it is becoming a standard. You can get a very nice wallet that allows you to do this from Wal-Mart for under $5.00.

Now, as for how you were treated. I feel as if there is some exaggeration. I'm sure the pharmacist didn't act that bad. I'm glad you spoke to a manager/supervisor, but I'm calling shenanigans on the attitude. You had an attitude about having to take your license out, and I'm sure the pharmacist was tired of hearing people complain about something small. But I doubt he yelled at you like how you described.
