Re: Sudafed purchase

If your license doesn't come out of your wallet, then you need to buy a new wallet.
When I card people for alcohol, I am required to have them take the ID out of their wallet. I will, however, let you sit there and struggle with it for as long as it takes, if you really want your drink, you'll do it.

A lot of places have an ID scanner, which may or may not be attached to the same machine as the credit card scanner. I think this is a great idea, I really wish we had one at work so I wouldn't have to go through the trouble of determining if an ID is a fake or not.

I don't think that the pharmacist should have lost his patience with you, but you don't seem to have had a whole lot of patience yourself if you think that the rules should be broken for you just because you put your ID in a hole that it won't come out of. I have a feeling you gave him some flack from the second he asked you to take it out. If I were you, I would have said "Sorry, my ID is stuck. I'm just going to sit down over here and come back when I get it out" Then, sit down in the pharmacy waiting area, pry out the ID, and come back when it's out. Istead of wasting his time.

I don't think that the pharamcist made this rule up, nor do I think that anyone in town is going to stop going to Rite Aid if that's where their prescriptions are. They might think to themselves "Oh, I hope I don't run into Jodi, because she'll chew my ear off if she sees me going in here", but they won't stop going.
