Rapunzel, I am not trying to be rude, here, but I personally think that women who cry "I am woman!" are totally ridiculous. If you are (general you - not you personally) are sensing sterotype and repression from a stupid commercial, you (again, general, not you personally) obviously have an esteem problem. It's the same thing as people who are not white screaming that "whitey" is bringing them down.

If you're raised to believe you're being oppressed, then you'll believe it. If you have the ability to think for yourself, you won't. I was never raised to believe that, because I'm female, men would "oppress" me, nor that some stupid song about roaring would raise me above my "oppressed" status.
