Walmart Automotive Sucks
by Dean C. - Posted Tue November 26, 2002 @ 12:00 AM

I would like to bring your attention a complaint I have about the experience at your store, located at Valley Ranch (Irving), Texas. I am frustrated and annoyed by this, and I hope you are able to resolve this situation.

I went to walmart after much research to buy tires; I went there, stood in line, stood in line; then told them what I wanted and was told I would be paged. I realized they didnt get my keys and waited in another line to pay or whatever, told the guy they didnt get my key, he proceded to tell me I wasnt in the system, etc, etc. I walked away discusted, then decided to go back. I found the origional girl who I gave my order to, she told me I was in the system and they should have taken care of me, had to leave the line and go outside to find the guy (manager? the same one who told me I wasnt in the system). He came in and proceded to tell me it was my fault, I still had to chase them down to give them my key.

I waited and waited and waited and waited finally I gave up and left. As I left I remarked to the line that they were wasting their time. One lady said she'd been there three hours.

Walmart lost a lot of business tonight. I will never ATTEMPT to buy tires from walmart again. Walmart wasted my time and if I had gone somewhere else I would have tires on my car, now I still have to go shopping for tires!

Probably every one there was dissatisfied and several left as I did, they just didnt waste as much time and effort as I did.

I will be adding this unfortuate and imprudent experience to my consumer advocate section of my organizational website and hopefully spare others from wasting their time trying to spend money at walmart.

I seriously doubt that I will ever buy from your store again, and I will urge everyone I know to steer clear as well. In the past, quite frankly, I've been very dissatisfied with you. I usually visit 6-10 times per month. I usually spend $51-$80.

Here's what I'd like to see Wal-Mart do about this: Provide better service, I have no intentions of every wasting my time with walmart auto, and will alert others of your incompetence and lack of respect for your customers. I will pay more for better service elsewhere (as I will urge other to do as well).

I went in knowing what I wanted, no one had to sell me anything; all walmart had to do was take my money and put tires on my car.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.
