Faded Glory products are poor quality
by Jill A. - Posted Sat November 4, 2006 @ 12:00 PM

I have bought Faded Glory clothing for my children frequently over the years because of the reasonable prices, especially since kids tend to outgrow things so quickly! Lately, I've noticed a decline in the quality of various Faded Glory products (at least as far as girls' clothing is concerned - I don't have any boys, so I can't speak for that).

In the past 2 months, I've had to return no less than 5 different pairs of pants (different styles) that I had bought for my 3-year-old daughter because the elastic in the waistband was totally shot - not at all stretchy, just worn-out, similar to what happens sometimes as clothing gets older and goes through wear and tear and multiple washings. These were, however, supposedly new items, purchased at the regular price and not on clearance. Also, I purchased Faded Glory girls' underwear in a size 4T, and the elastic waistbands in those panties were also very weak/loose - especially compared to other brands I've purchased, such as those with Disney characters on them.

I realize Faded Glory is a "discount" type brand, but I've never had the problems with that brand that I've had in recent months. I've shopped at several different Wal-Mart stores too, so I can't even pinpoint the problem as being a particular store location. I'm just disappointed in the declining quality of a brand I've enjoyed for years. Also, I find it very annoying to have to return a bunch of defective items, especially since when I return to the store, they invariably do not have an identical item I can make an exchange for - just my luck!

I don't want any monetary compensation or anything, but I would love to see a little more quality control work done on the Faded Glory girls' clothing items.
