Discounts
by Shirley G. - Posted Thu December 7, 2006 @ 5:30 AM

Tonight was my first visit to the IHOP #1428 here in El Paso. My server Myron was very friendly we had prompt service and great quality food. When we got our check I noticed that we were given our "military discount" of 10%. There were some Border Patrol officers present and I questioned what their discount was and I was advised that they get 50% along with Police officers. I was in shock! 50% to drive up and down a fence all day. My husband is in Iraq right now dodging bullets and we get 10%!? Mean while your Border Patrol agents and Police officers are home with their families every night sleeping in their own bed while my husband is not home with me for the next 12-18 mos but lives with strangers. What is wrong with this picture? I did speak to the manager on duty David Lawrence who was no help what so ever besides informing me that this policy has been in effect since he's been there.

It definately seems that IHOP could and should reevaluate their discount policy.
