Unauthorized and illegal charge to credit card
by Shelley B. - Posted Sat January 13, 2007 @ 11:35 PM
On January 10, 2007 my teenage daughter went to TACO BELL #20674 at 565 Lancaster Drive SE and paid for her order with her Visa card - The total of her order was $18.65. This charge is on her card as well as another charge at the same Taco Bell, on the same date for $5.00. The $5.00 was charged immediately after the $18.65. My daughter did not authorize the $5.00 charge. This money was stolen from her by the girl at the drive through.
I call this Taco Bell immediately after my daughter came home. I check her VISA card onlilne everyday, so I notice the charge as soon as she got home. I spoke with the assistant mangaer who checked the credit card slips for that evening. She told me that there was a slip missing right after the $18.65 charge to my daughter's VISA. She also told me she needed to talk to her boss to see what to do about the extra charge. I asked her to have her boss call me the next day. I gave her both my home and my work number. Three days have passed and I have heard nothing.
The same evening I went online to TacoBell.com and filled out a complaint with all of the above information - I have hear nothing from that email.
This evening I called 1-800-tacobell. I told the person I spoke to the same thing I have said in this letter. She said someone would contact me within three days.
This is a very serious issue that I reported three days ago and now I am suppose to wait another three days. Granted it's only five dollars, but to my daughter five dollars is a lot. Not to mention that you have an employee who is making unauthorized and illegal charges to customers' credit cards.
I would like someone from Taco Bell to contact me and let me know that this issue has been taken care of in an appropriate manner.
I would like the $5.00 credited back to my daughter's credit card.
