McDonald's, I'm Not Loving It!
by Melissa E. - Posted Tue August 28, 2007 @ 12:00 PM
I'm writing this letter concerning McDonald's store #5343 in Salamanca, NY. I carpool and my friend and I go through the drive-thru a few times a week after work for dinner because we work a late shift and the restaurant is open 24 hours. We usually go through the drive-thru and my friend consistently orders a large iced-tea with extra ice. What do they give her? Warm iced tea with a handful of ice cubes. The reason it's warm is because the iced tea is usually brewed, but even when she's asked for a large cup of ice on the side, they give her a kiddie cup. She'd complained about this at least four times and the problem still had not been fixed, even when she went to a manager. On Friday, August 16th, we went through the drive-thru and ordered 2 plain double cheeseburgers, one large fry and my friend ordered her large iced-tea with extra ice. Again, there was barely any ice in the tea, but they also forgot our large fry. When we went through the drive-thru tonight (Aug. 28 at 9:20pm), we ordered and when we ordered one iced tea, the cashier rang up three. When we tried to correct her, she had already rang the order through. We said that it wasn't right and she snapped back, "I'm sorry! It was a mistake!". We got to the window and she proceeded to glare at us. So I just told them to cancel the order and we went to the Burger King down the street. We've consistently received very poor service from this McDonald's and will not be returning.
Please train your employees, especially your managers in proper customer service, including how to be nice to customers. I'm not going to ask for any free meals because I don't want them. I won't be purchasing anything from this store. I just hope that your employees learn better manners.
