My System Restore is constantly being turned off by third parties on the Internet and I have several software items installed to help with this but shouldn't Microsoft SELL software that can keep people out in the first place?

I don't feel that I should have to spend hundreds of dollars on ADDITIONAL SOFTWARE to keep my pc safe.

I want to know how I can "lock" this feature to stay on, if I can in fact do so.

I can barely afford a computer and this constantly fighting virus threats, and spam and adware... my XP should block that already without paying more to keep it safe.

Bill Gates and his company are just greedy when their software should just do this as a given. Not all of us are made of money to just throw at our computer. Shame on Mr. Gates and his greedy company that puts out bad software with problems all the time. You would think that with his money, skill, and staff that they could release a product without problems and one that is good at protecting our computers.

I'm seriously getting fed up with this and may be looking into Apple Computers.. many of my friends and associates are beginning to feel the same way.

I spend more time protecting my computer than actually using it. I'm very fed up!

Send me the information needed to lock my system restore feature on.. so third party software cannot keep shutting it off. I would also like Microsoft to send me additional software to keep my computer safe. I cannot afford the hundreds of dollars in keeping my pc safe that buying additional software requires.

And next release, we should not have to mess with a third party software like Norton or the others to keep our pc's safe. I hope Microsoft makes safe pc's part of regular computing. How this happened in all of the product lineage from Microsoft is terrible.

If you want me to use your OS...than at least do me the least bit of keeping that OS safe when I'm online!
