I was pulled over by a police officer in Pulaski County on January 22, 2008. This officer wrote me a ticket for speeding 10 miles over the limit. Of course i have the opportunity as a citizen to represent myself and dispute this charge in court, however i believe it is known, and perhaps fairly common practice in this jurisdiction to pull over drivers who live out of state in an attempt to produce revenue for Pulaski County, knowing that those charged will not be able to attend court at the requested time/date because it would just be completely unreasonable to travel that far of a distance to fight such a charge.

I am informing you that I will be researching my options with federal authorities in an attempt to open an investigation to see if this jurisdiction is unfairly targeting out of state drivers and ticketing them for the purpose of producing revenue for this jurisdiction in Virginia. Through research, it is believed this practice may be happening in certain jurisdictions throughout the state of Virginia.
