1-800-MATTRESS is Great!

On January 18, 2008, I was in your showroom on Route 18 in East Brunswick, NJ, and spoke with the Showroom Manager, Kate N. She was great. My roommate recently purchased a bed through your phone service, and visited the same showroom beforehand to decide on a mattress, and she is very happy with her purchase. I was looking at the same or similar bed, but not as firm as what my roommate has, so I wrote down the model name and brought it with me. I told Kate what I was looking for and my price range; she showed me the more plush version of the model I asked about, and then suggested another similar bed at the same price, then left me alone to test them out. I had a few questions; she answered them and showed me some samples, and then again left me alone to do some more lying about. I decided on a mattress and ordered it, to be delivered the following day.
I was in another big-name mattress store a few weeks prior (which was the first place I went), and felt very pressured to buy right away and spend more than I was prepared to spend, and this is the reason I did not go back there when I was ready to buy. I very much appreciated the pressure-free atmosphere I encountered at your showroom, and Kate was very friendly and helpful, without trying to push me to buy. This attitude ensured a sale, and I am very pleased with how easy it was.
I was also very pleased with the delivery. I requested the 12-4 pm delivery window, and around 11:30 I was just about to run to the convenience store across the street, when I saw the 1-800-MATTRESS truck pull into my complex. I flagged them down, asked if they were looking for my apartment number, pointed them in the right direction, and headed back upstairs to strip my old bed and clear a path. I was fully expecting to possibly be stuck at the apartment for the whole afternoon, waiting; I did not expect them to show up exactly at noon, let alone 20 minutes early. They had my old bed removed and my new bed set up in 10 minutes. So I had the rest of the afternoon to shop for new bedding. Three weeks later, I, too, am very happy with my purchase.
