Drive Threw Apathy

So on monday nights, my wife and I play softball for our church league. After spending 4 hours at our city park and not having enough time to grab dinner before the game we decided to eat after the games. After tossing around some late night options we settled on Mcdonald's. With our stomachs aching from the lack of food, some good old fashioned cheeseburgers, fries, and drink sounded more than good. We pulled to the drive through and placed our order. A number 2 ( two cheese burgers, medium fry, and medium drink) and an additional cheeseburger and medium fry. I went on to ask the drive through attendant about upgrading my drink to a large since i saw an add on the marque for any size drink for a dollar. I was rudely told that the promotion ended the day prior though the add was still up. I excepted the information and pulled to the window to pay. While the service was quick, it was not friendly. We got our order, and with out checking because we trust that our order is correct, and asked for some hot mustard for our fries. We arrived home at 11pm, exhausted, starving, and ready to eat only to find that we did not recieve our second order of fries and only recieved one hot mustard. Mcdonalds hot mustard and fries are an awesome combination that deserves more than one pack per order. I am annoyed at the fact that not only was my order not repeated to me for verification, before i paid, but that we were so rudely rushed off and that our order that we paid for was not correct. No one wants to drive back out after a long night of physical activities, and that is all the more reason that our order should have been right the first time. I get extremely frustrated when my food order is incorrect as i have worked in the food industry before and know what service should be. This service was not only up to par, but makes me lose trust in future purchases made in drive through. People who work drive through tend to be careless about delivering orders. They dont think about the fact that people are in drive through for a reason, to get their order quick and correct because there are more important things to do than spending an extra 5 minutes checking their order in the parking lot.
I would like McDonald's to provide me with some sort of gift card to make up for the lack of service provided.
