Uncooperative Manager at Little Caesars
by Nate E. - Posted Thu November 12, 2009 @ 3:38 PM

I visited your South Westnedge Ave. location (Portage MI) on November 12, 2009, at approximately 3:00pm. The service I received was significantly less than the WOW experience I was hoping for when choosing to make a purchase from your establishment.
When I arrived, I asked if it was too late to order a lunch combo, and I was denied. This is not my complaint, but at this point the cashier informed me that a 2 for 1 Crazy Bread special was going on. I informed him that sure, I will order Crazy Bread, but I need only one. Still, he brought me two. I at that point told him I only need one, and could I sub the other one for a side of garlic dip, an item of significantly less value. He said no, and I asked if a manager was present who could possibly authorize my request. At this point the cashier stated he was the manager. After hearing this, I paid for my dip.
I again informed the manager that I only wanted one order of bread. He insisted I take both orders. Since I only needed one, I disposed of the other on my way out the door.

After this experience, I would like your company to properly train your management to listen to customer's orders and not serve them more food than they need. Additionally, I feel your managers should be empowered to make reasonable, small substitutions and not smack rules over customer's heads unnecessarily. Had the manager agreed to my request, you likely would have benefited as I wanted something significantly less expensive. Additionally, I would have been delighted and more inclined to return in the future.
