I like Taco Bell a lot. That is why I am taking the time to help them improve.

Last night I entered the drive-through with my family. We hit a language barrier with the lady serving the drive-through (English was her second language). I was feeling pretty patient and tried three times to get my order entered correctly but each time she had gotten it wrong.

I sensed that she was getting embarrassed or annoyed too, so I told her we would park and go inside to order. My wife decided to go in alone. It took quite a while for her to come out with the food and this story.

She said that when she got up to the counter the person had to excuse himself to cover the drive-through because the drive-through person had to take a break. But instead of simply asking that people in the drive-through to hold for a moment, he proceeded to take their order while my wife waited at the counter. She was too mad at that point to say anything so she just waited. Not a pleasant experience.

This is my suggestion Taco Bell. Make your menu easier to order off of. Refer to McDonald's menu and you will see that every meal has a number next to it. If you make it easy to order, language barriers will become less of an issue and you will have fewer upset customers. Oh, yeah…consider the first come first serve policy.

By the way...the new shrimp taco is pretty good! :)
